Gas Pipeline Consents

The CRU has today, 20 May 2022, published a Decision Paper setting out the basis for its decision to grant Gas Networks Ireland a consent under Section 39A of the Gas Act 1976, as amended, to construct a section of gas transmission pipeline in County Dublin as part of the Grange Backup Power Project. This consent was conveyed in a letter to Gas Networks Ireland which has also been published today.

In addition to this Decision Paper, the CRU has published the following documents: the CRU’s environmental screening and technical evaluations for the project, the CRU’s environmental screening determinations, Gas Networks Ireland’s environmental and archaeological submissions for the project, and Gas Networks Ireland’s application for consent to construct the pipelines.
