Gas Networks Ireland Annual Performance Reports

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) notes that Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) has published two reports on their website, a ‘GNI Customer Performance Report 2017’ and a ‘GNI System Performance Report 2017’.
The publication of these reports are in line with Condition 17 (5) of GNI’s Transmission System Operators licence and Condition 19 (5) of GNI’s Distribution System Operators licence. GNI are required under these licence conditions to report against a range of criteria in relation to the overall standards of the transmission and distribution systems including GNI’s performance in relation to customer service activities.

The customer report highlights GNI’s performance in relation to customer service activities and the system report highlights GNI’s performance in relation to the overall standards of the transmission and distribution systems. The reports are not subject to approval by the Commission, but the licence conditions require GNI to publish them in a manner and a format approved by the Commission.
