Each year, the gas network tariffs are reviewed to ensure that Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) only recovers the necessary costs for efficient operation of the network. The CRU is publishing today, 03 June 2022, the tariffs for use of the gas transmission and distribution network during gas year 2022/23. The gas year 2022/23 runs from 01 October 2022 to 30 September 2023.
The CRU is also publishing its decisions under Article 28 of the EU Tariff Network Code, i.e. on multipliers, seasonal factors and discounts (e.g. discount for Virtual Reverse Flow) for the 2022/23 gas year. These items impact how the costs of the gas network are charged to shippers and may in turn impact on customers’ bills. The CRU’s decisions took into account comments submitted in response to the Article 28 Consultation Paper published on 21 April 2022. Those submissions are published within this document group alongside the CRU’s decisions.
